A Progress Report with Ray Pawlicki, CIO: Our NEXT Way to Work initiative is well underway. We have completed the rollout of Microsoft Office and email — yes, at last, Lotus Notes is officially gone!

But these upgrades are just the beginning. Phase Two (already started) and Phase Three (coming Q4) will continue to improve the way you work, giving you new ways to Collaborate with and Connect to your colleagues and partners. Stay tuned for new tools and announcements as we continue to simplify processes and tools at Biogen Idec.

New tools including Microsoft Office 2010, Instant Messaging, and Microsoft Outlook making it easier to schedule meetings, manage your email, and communicate more effectively with everyone.

Phase 2: Current

Collaborate

Enhanced collaboration tools giving you the ability to more easily work in teams and manage your projects. Sites specific to what you want to accomplish from sharing and storing documents all in one place to managing department calendar. Collaborate on projects with partners inside and outside of the Company. It has never been easier to work together.

Phase 3: Coming

Connect

The new intranet with fresh and relevant information where you'll be able to easily find the information that is meant just for you based on your role, location and organization. Connect your organization and leadership thru streaming video delivered right to your desktop.
